Do you want to add some elegance to a piece of furniture you are making? Below are examples of work that I have done for individuals that built furniture but wanted to add a hand carved element. If you build furniture or cabinetry and want some hand carved work added to your piece, I am available to do the work for you.

Cabinetry

This cabinet was completed in November of 2004. It is made from Birch with a lacquer finish. The unit is made of five cabinets and then it is built in to the room as a permanent fixture. The overall length is a little over 15 feet and extends floor to ceiling. The middle section is a bench with storage under the seat. I am carving a 4 foot x 4 foot relief panel that will be mounted over the bench.

This picture shows the right side cabinet. The four shelves have an "S" shaped front. The front of each of these shelves is made from bent wood.

This carving was done for a Tabernacle at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Southern Indiana. The scroll is carved in Poplar. The Alpha, Omega and Chi-Roe are done in Butternut. These pieces were painted and applied to the completed cabinet.

These cabinets were completed in September of 2003. They are made from Oak with a Tung Oil and Poly finish. They were designed to add cabinet space to an existing kitchen. They had to match the existing cabinets. The first picture is of the center island. It is a basic triangular shape but has the longest side rounded to accomodate a seating area. The next picture is of a built in desk/recipie center. It has a work area and 2 shelves. The final picture is a built-in entertainment center that has a large swivel shelve in the center for the TV.
