"Relief Carved Portrait of Pope John Paul II"
This relief carved portrail is of Pope John Paul II. It is carved in Basswood and has a stain on the background with a Tung Oil/Poly mix finish. This piece is carved in high relief. It was completed on tax day, 2004. The photograph of the carving is not the best as it was taken with the finsih still wet and so there is a slight glare. It measures 11" tall by 9" wide.
"Relief Carved YMCA Logo"
This relief carving was done for a former cooworker who retired from the YMCA. The carving was completed in May, 2004. The photograph was taken with a digital camera and the color and clarity are not very good. The picture will be replaced once I get the regular film developed. It is carved in poplar with a walnut stain. It has a White Oak frame around it. It measures 12" tall by 9" wide.
These relief carved shells are carved in Walnut. They were carved for drawer fronts for a High Boy.

The exterior has a hand rubbed Tung Oil finish with a final coat of wax. It measures 9" x 7" x 4".
